The first mention of the church dates back to 1889. The church was built in 1899 thanks to support of founders, among others, Archduke Albrecht, Emperor Francis Joseph I, and many others. The church was consecrated on September 2, 1901 by Rev. Prelate K. Hudziec and the parish priest, Rev. Henryk Skubin.
For a long time, the faithful could attend Mass at the Church of Koniaków only every third Sunday. That is why, the clerical authority was asked to establish an independent parish of Koniaków. First, in 1942 the vicariate was established. The parish was introduced 4 years later. Rev. Franciszek Tobola became the first parish priest.
The church was consecrated by the Bishop Herbert Bednorz on September 11, 1976.
