The “Na Szańcach” Cottage – the Tadeusz Rucki Regional Art Gallery was established in 1990. The gallery presents a wide section of the Triple Village artists in the field of sculpture, painting, graphic arts, glass painting, artistic carpentry, and lacemaking. The atmosphere is additionally stimulated by storytelling and playing traditional instruments. Moreover, the gallery also houses the ceramic studio “CERAMIK” run by Rucki’s daughter, Justyna Łodzińska. The gallery enjoys popularity, which is proved by the growing number of visitors from all over the world (2 million visitors within 3 years).
In the gallery, you can purchase lace doilies, tablecloths, and even lingerie elements. Mr. Rucki’s exhibition comprises the lace (the bonnet) which took the first place in the contest for the oldest lace during the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Koniaków lance. It is approx 140 years old.
The “Na Szańcach” Cottage houses the longest trombita in the world (11 m).
